'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first significant honor of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after breaking his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
